Return & Warranty Policy

Return & Warranty Policy

At Pera Gallery, every artwork is individually made to order with care and attention to quality. We stand behind the craftsmanship of our products and provide a 10-year warranty on specified manufacturing and workmanship defects.

This policy should be read together with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10-Year Warranty

Every Pera Gallery artwork is backed by a 10-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the frame structure, frame joints, mounting, assembly, and overall workmanship under normal indoor use.

The 10-year warranty begins from the date of purchase.

If a covered manufacturing defect occurs during the warranty period, please contact us with your order details and clear photographs showing the issue. We will assess the claim and, where the claim is covered by this warranty, provide an appropriate repair or replacement.

Our 10-year warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What the 10-Year Warranty Covers

The warranty covers manufacturing defects relating to:

  • Frame structure

  • Frame joints and construction

  • Mounting of the artwork

  • Assembly

  • Workmanship

  • Structural failure resulting from a manufacturing defect

The warranty applies when the artwork has been used and displayed under normal indoor conditions.

What the 10-Year Warranty Does Not Cover

The 10-year warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing or workmanship defect, including:

  • Accidental damage

  • Misuse, neglect or improper handling

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation or hanging

  • Water or excessive moisture

  • Excessive heat or humidity

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

  • Improper storage

  • Cleaning chemicals or inappropriate cleaning methods

  • Alterations, modifications or repairs carried out by another party

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused after delivery by external factors

  • Minor variations in the natural appearance, grain, texture or finish of frame materials

These exclusions do not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your artwork arrives damaged, faulty, or does not meet the applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery where possible.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, which may include a repair, replacement or refund where applicable.

When contacting us, please provide:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the artwork

  • Clear photographs showing the damage or fault

  • Photographs of the packaging if the item was damaged during delivery

  • A brief description of the issue

Please keep the artwork and its packaging while your claim is being assessed.

Made to Order

Each Pera Gallery artwork is individually made to order according to your selected artwork, size, frame, colour and finish.

For this reason, we do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind.

This includes situations where:

  • You change your mind after placing your order

  • You select the wrong artwork

  • You select the wrong size

  • You select the wrong frame

  • You select the wrong frame colour or finish

  • The artwork does not suit your room, furniture or décor

  • You find the same or a similar product at a different price

Please carefully review all artwork, size, frame and finish selections before completing your order.

This change-of-mind policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes or Cancellations After Ordering

Because our artworks are made to order, production may begin shortly after an order is placed.

If you notice an error or would like to request a change, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where production has not yet commenced, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with your request. However, once production has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Colour and Material Variations

We make every reasonable effort to accurately represent our artworks, frame colours and finishes online.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device settings and lighting conditions.

Frame materials and finishes may also have minor variations in colour, texture, grain or appearance. These minor variations are a normal characteristic of the materials and are not necessarily considered manufacturing defects.

This does not affect your rights where a product is materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.

Returns for Faulty or Damaged Products

Please contact Pera Gallery before returning any artwork.

We may need to assess the product, photographs and other relevant information before determining the appropriate remedy.

If a return is required, we will provide you with return instructions.

Products returned because of a fault do not need to be in their original packaging for you to exercise rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

Proof of Purchase

We may request reasonable proof of purchase when assessing a warranty, damaged product or faulty product claim.

This may include:

  • Your order confirmation

  • Order number

  • Receipt

  • Other reasonable evidence of purchase

Australian Consumer Law

Our 10-year warranty is an additional warranty provided by Pera Gallery and does not replace or limit the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law may continue independently of, and in some circumstances beyond, the 10-year warranty period.

Nothing in this Return & Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

To make a claim under the Pera Gallery 10-year warranty, please contact us and provide:

  • Your name

  • Your order number or proof of purchase
